See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

The Grade II listed Blacksmiths Arms, situated on the A171, Scarborough to Whitby road, is some 250 years old, forming part of the Duchy of Lancaster Estate, and is renowned for serving Her Majesty The Queen and HRH Prince Philip their first pub lunch (May 2010) This is a classic, two-roomed village pub with a cosy, subdued lounge at the front and a bright, lively bar, popular with locals at the rear. Home-cooked meals are served lunchtimes and evenings. En-suite accommodation is available either in the main building or the self-contained holiday cottages behind the pub. Dogs are welcome in the bar and a smoking/drinking area is located at the rear.
