A warm, friendly atmosphere prevails at this busy town-centre pub at the rear of the main shopping centre. Very highly respected amongst local CAMRA membership and the winner of many accolades over the years. It has a large front bar and a games room. Six regular ales plus five rotating guest beers from far and wide are are offered plus numerous ciders and perries. Multiple TV screens show major sporting events. An ideal port of call with the railway station nearby and bus route opposite. Twenty eight pints are the prize at the Thursday quiz.
