This pub is long-term closed.

See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Built in the 1840's, the pub has a split-level interior with three seating areas. This friendly, conversational pub is handy for the town centre and spa complex. The pub was purchased from Marston plc by a small family run pub chain with a hope to resurrect its former glory as a real ale mecca. Five rotating guest beers are offered with up to seven available at peak times. There is an outside covered smoking area to the side of the pub and popular beer garden at the rear. Live music features each weekend. Open Mic night each Monday and Quiz night Tuesdays.
